Dr. Woodward is from central Illinois and graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a degree in Civil Engineering. She moved to Knoxville to attend veterinary school at the University of Tennessee before moving to Baton Rouge in 2009 for her internship at LSU. She then completed a masters program and a residency in dermatology at LSU in 2014. She has been practicing dermatology in Louisiana since then. Her primary practice is at Baton Rouge Veterinary Referral Center, but she also works monthly at University Veterinary Hospital in Shreveport. Sensing a need for a veterinary dermatologist in the Acadiana area, Dr. Woodward has been seeing cases there as a mobile dermatologist since April 2023.

When she isn’t busy helping dogs and cats with itchy skin, she spends time with her three children (mostly as a chauffeur to their many activities), husband and two dogs.
